Interplant Relief Driver, 3rd Shift

Requirements

• Two years current professional driving experience; CDL Class A preferred
• Will consider partial to full reimbursement for a truck driver training course for the right candidate
• Current CDL Class A with a clean driving record (will be verified)
• Current medical card
• Flexibility with working hours required for this relief driver position
• Approximately 75% of time spent as a forklift driver in the warehouse, 25% driving a semi; percentages may shift based on coverage needs

Responsibilities

• Spot equipment on the Bemis campus; deliver goods, materials, products, scrap, and waste to local and distant destinations
• Operate on campus, city streets, highways, and interstates under all weather conditions
• Ensure careful transportation of goods and equipment
• Observe axle load limitations and stay within state and municipal load capacity limits
• Perform minor repairs or adjustments to keep the vehicle operational
• Assist in Shipping Department operations as time permits
• Work under general assignments; major decisions made by the Operations Manager or Traffic Manager
• Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules and regulations
