About the role
The internship program at R&S Landscaping is geared towards college students in a Horticulture or Landscape Management/Architecture program. Students will gain hands-on experience in the landscape industry.
Responsibilities
- Rotate between our three main teams: Design/Build, Grounds Maintenance/Plant Health Care, and Irrigation/Lighting – gaining broad practical experience.
- Be given a variety of tasks to perform, as if a regular R&S Landscaping employee.
- Work as a crewmember part of the time, and have solo assignments based on project and intern skill level.
- Implement the day’s project or task, track job materials and labor time, clean up at the end of the day, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Bring professionalism to the job and apply skills with a company that values quality and top-notch customer service.
- Participate in in-depth interaction and ask questions to enrich the experience for both the intern and R&S Landscaping.
Requirements
Real Life Residential Landscape Experience. The intern is expected to bring professionalism to the job and apply their skills with a company that believes in quality and top-notch customer service. General duties include job setup in the morning, implementing the day’s project or task, tracking job materials and labor time, clean up at the end of the day, and completing necessary paperwork. In-depth interaction and questions are encouraged.
Qualifications
Submit recommendations with a recent transcript, plus a short summary on what you expect to accomplish during your internship and include a brief summary of your job skills.
Skills
Students should have a strong interest in the landscape industry and possess relevant skills such as horticulture, landscaping, design, and construction management.
