About the role

This position is expected to begin January 2027 and continue through April 2027. Internships at Tesla are generally full-time, onsite roles that last a minimum of 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Committed to building out the capabilities for quickly and accurately diagnosing vehicle issues remotely with limited customer interaction
  • Owning the entire customer experience, from the entry point in the Tesla App to the providing solutions for self-service
  • Automating service appointments when repair is necessary

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python or Golang
  • Solid understanding of Distributed Systems principles and architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Applied Machine Learning (model deployment, inference pipelines, or ML system integration)
  • Backend development expertise with production-grade services
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
  • Proficiency with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Strong background in observability (monitoring, logging, tracing)
  • Genuine interest in customer experience and building high-impact, user-facing systems
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills
  • A passion for troubleshooting failures, improving code quality, and optimizing system efficiency, monitoring, and observability

Pay

Expected Compensation $50.48 - $58.89 + benefits
