About the role

We provide an experience that allows the intern to experience life at Tesla by including them in projects that are critical to their team’s success. Join our team as a Mobile App Software Engineer intern, where you'll build user experiences that power the ecosystem of Tesla Solar, Powerwall, and Vehicle products. In this internship, you will work on real features that ship to millions of Tesla customers—your code will directly impact Tesla's mission of sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

• Build new functionality in the Tesla App using TypeScript and React Native on the front end and Go on the back end
• Work embedded within the Energy Product, Design, and Engineering teams while crafting new features as we transform the future of energy

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a similar degree program with an emphasis in Mobile App development, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills, an ability to learn quickly, and a passion for moving fast and building great things with great visual polish
• High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
• Passion for Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy
• Fluency in a mobile app or reactive web framework required, with preference for React Native and TypeScript

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site

Pay

Expected Compensation $20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
