What You'll Do

  • Leverage AI tools and agents to assist in Test data analysis and post-processing, test automation, simulation, and report generation within EMC workflows
  • Support the development of Python-based scripts and AI-assisted tools to analyze and streamline EMC testing information, data collection, and results interpretation
  • For example, pattern recognition from RF Emissions test data, device failure logging
  • Work on schematic and circuit board layout design for EMC, modeling and simulation for product packaging and assembly, and cable design for RF shielding
  • Execute EMC troubleshooting efforts with direction and guidance from EMC engineers using EMC test methods from standards like CISPR 25, ISO-11452-2, ISO-7637, etc.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently working towards a Masters or PhD in a relevant engineering program such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronic design
  • Basic understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission lines, non-ideal behavior of passive components (resistor, capacitors, inductors)
  • Exposed to simulation tools for RF design like ANSYS HFSS, CST, FEKO, etc.; a plus if familiar with simulation done for EMC applications
  • Proficient in Python for scripting, data analysis, and test automation
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools, including some experience using large language models (LLMs), AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar), or AI-powered agents to accelerate engineering workflows
  • Hands-on experience in debugging radiated and conducted emission issues is a plus
  • Experience on using test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators; it is a plus if experience on equipment for EMC testing like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, antennas, near field probes, etc
