Internship/Co-Op - Civil Engineering

Responsibilities
- Assist with construction inspection on water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, construction staking such as subgrade and base course, and other duties.
- Assistance with design projects and plan production between construction projects, including Civil 3D design, plan detail drafting, quantity calculations, and spreadsheet development.
May require overtime and out-of-town travel (generally within 60 miles of the office).
Schedule
- Summer internship: late May to late August.
- Co-op position: late May through mid-December.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in civil engineering, construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites.
Skills
- Coursework or experience in municipal roadway or vertical building construction, underground utilities, Civil3D, or roadway design is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
