Internship - Civil Engineering

Ayres is seeking a passionate and ambitious intern to join the Eau Claire Municipal and Site Development team. The internship offers a meaningful experience towards your future career.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction inspection on water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, construction staking such as subgrade and base course;
• Assistance with design projects and plan production;
• Varying duties including Civil 3D design, plan detail drafting, quantity calculations, and spreadsheet development;

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in civil engineering or construction management;
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record;
• Reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites;

Desired Skills And Experiences

• Coursework or experience in construction, municipal, roadway, traffic, or structural experience;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Benefits

• Duration: Late May through late August 2027;
• May require overtime and out-of-town travel (generally within 60 miles of the office);
• Hours may vary based on workload and weather.
