About the Role
At General Mills, Brand Managers lead each business (brand) using general management skills to make high-impact business decisions and execute innovative brand marketing to generate demand. Brand Managers act with the prudence of an owner, making mission-driven decisions for our multi-million-dollar brands.
This internship is a 10-week summer experience at our World Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, offering real-time, impactful projects in close interaction with leadership teams. It serves as an opportunity to join our full-time Brand Leadership Development Program (BLDP), which includes rotations designed to build foundational Brand Management capabilities and prepare for leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and executing brand management strategies, including product development, packaging, trade and pricing, and business operations.
- Engage with consumers through modern brand-building strategies and integrate innovative marketing plans with overarching growth strategies.
- Own and manage P&Ls to deliver growth, profit, and share targets, leading ideas across the 4Ps: product innovation, strategic revenue management, distribution expansion, and promotion strategies.
Requirements
- Pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and/or General Management.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high learning agility, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Entrepreneurial qualities necessary for driving the P&L.
- Curiosity and passion for learning.
- Preferred graduation date: Spring 2027.
- Work authorization in the U.S. that does not require sponsorship (e.g., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa, or other non-immigrant status).

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $51.35/hour. Pay reflects numerous factors, including educational degree in process, major of study, and year in school.
