What To Expect This position is expected to start around January or February 2027 and continue through the entire Spring term (ending approximately May 2027 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. Multiple Locations Possible: Palo Alto, CA; Austin, TX; Fort Collins, CO What You'll Do Write timing constraints, generate floor plans, and implement CTS or semi-custom clocking Sign off analysis including EM/IR, static timing, LEC, and LVS/DRC Assist in driving design blocks and SOCs from early design stage to tape out Read RTL, understand block micro-architecture, perform RTL modifications and prove logical equivalence as needed Help with design of clock distribution of high-performance chip Analyze distribution for skew and power supply jitter and work with timing owners to optimize Help with clock management logic Construct high-speed blocks, from synthesis, place, and route, out through timing, physical, and electrical closure to meet performance, robustness, reliability, and power targets What You'll Bring Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Familiarity with Embedded board bring-upStrong comfort in Tcl, Python, and/or Linux OS ScriptingStrong understanding of static timing Proficient in timing and electrical analysis in advanced nodes, including high-frequency design closure, IR drop, power, and reliability Benefits Compensation and Benefits As a full-time Tesla Intern, you will be eligible for: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans.
