Responsibilities
- Serve as on-site Treaty SME and primary Government point of contact for treaty- and agreement-related matters
- Provide overall guidance on Air Force requirements for government-identified treaties and agreements
- Monitor all Air Force activities for treaty applicability and field policy and compliance questions
- Support HAF/A10 International Treaties and Agreements with historical background, current and future treaty implications, and professional opinions
- Draft written recommendations representing Air Force positions on treaty-related policy and documentation
- Deliver professional briefings of recommendations to audiences from Air Force senior leaders to base TCOs
- Respond promptly to Government questions, concerns, and comments
- Proactively alert the Government to potential treaty issues and recommend mitigation actions
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain TS/SCI level clearance - Education: Bachelor's degree
- Years of Experience: Twenty-five (25) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including fifteen (15) years of DoD experience
- Additional Experience: Knowledge and understanding of specific treaties/agreements
Experience with implementation and compliance activities
Knowledge of Air Staff, JS, and OSD organization
Familiarity with current policy issues
Knowledge of ACES or similar treaty-reporting databases
Experience working in complex environments - Preferred Qualifications: Education: Master's degree
Years of Experience: Twenty (20) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, including twelve (12) years of DoD experience
