International Tax Intern (Summer 2027)
About the role
Work under the supervision of the Tax Managers. Assist with tasks related to international and domestic tax compliance as well as tax planning, tax reporting, tax controversy and transfer pricing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with U.S. tax compliance duties related to international and domestic operations.
- Assist with the preparation of tax return calculations and documentation (including support for forms 1120, 1065, 5471, 8865, 8858, and state income tax returns).
- Assist with state income tax notice resolution and documentation.
- Compile and analyze financial information and research tax filing positions.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of ongoing tax processes.
- Assist with tax planning projects as needed, from design and implementation to execution and documentation.
- Support components of global tax provision process.
- Assist with transfer pricing duties related to calculations, intercompany agreements and documentation.
- Learn to work with non-tax corporate and operational functions such as legal, treasury, and accounting.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field.
- Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
- Duration: Summer 2027.
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Hybrid internship – must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions, with the option to work in the office. Be able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods.
