International Profitability Analyst
About the Role
DHL eCommerce operates a global distribution network, delivering mail and parcels from businesses in the United States to eCommerce consumers around the world. We are seeking an International Profitability Analyst to support the financial performance and cost transparency of our international network. In this role, you will partner closely with the Director of International Operations and International Lane Managers to analyze costs, identify savings opportunities, improve reporting visibility, and support strategic decision-making across international shipping lanes. Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis & Financial Performance
- Maintain cost models for international shipping lanes, including updates to assumptions, drivers, and inputs.
- Analyze transportation, delivery, customs, and operational cost components to support costing initiatives.
- Track and report monthly financial performance against established cost models.
- Investigate and explain variances related to operational spending, volume fluctuations, pricing assumptions, invoicing discrepancies, and financial booking practices.
- Perform transaction-level and invoice-level analyses to support cost investigations and performance reviews.
- Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and recurring analyses.
- Create meaningful reporting that supports operational and financial decision-making.
- Support cost transparency initiatives through data gathering, validation, and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Strategic Support
- Partner with International Lane Managers to evaluate lane performance, rate changes, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support monthly accrual and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Assist with contract negotiations and annual RFP processes through data collection, organization, and analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Requirements
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of related professional experience, preferably supporting international or cross-functional projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modeling, dashboard development, and automation techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Preferred
- Experience supporting international logistics, transportation, supply chain, or eCommerce operations.
- Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
