Mueller Sports Medicine was established in 1960 by Curt Mueller to fill a need for quality products for use in athletic training rooms. Over the years, we’ve expanded to provide Quench Gum®, hinged knee braces, No Glare® Strips, latex- and neoprene-free braces with the Hg80 Mueller Mercury line, Soccer Care® and Life Care for Her® product lines, and Mueller Green™. Mueller remains a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company dedicated to the sole mission of sports medicine. We have over 120 associates working together as a high-performance team in Prairie du Sac, WI.

About the role

Internships usually begin late May through early September. Mueller Sports Medicine (MSM) looks for academically strong candidates with a passion for their field of study. MSM offers internships in marketing, purchasing, logistics, information technology (IT), finance and accounting, or customer service. Interns can expect to virtually and/or in-person meet with associates, vendors, and customers to explore future career opportunities. If the intern chooses to take the internship for credit, MSM is willing to accommodate any recordkeeping or evaluation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • 90% – Field-specific work through international compliance programs, including MSM’s Duty Draw Back Program, compliance label process, and import/export documentation across MSM’s global network.
  • 10% – Administrative duties such as filing, copying, and scanning.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Completed one year of post-high school education and enrolled for the fall semester at a technical college or four-year university.
  • Pursuing a degree in a field of study related to the area of the internship.
  • Grade point average sufficient to be considered in good academic standing.
  • Ability to understand and comply with Mueller Safety Systems and current regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous work experience or internships in the field or a related field of the internship.

  • Advanced use of Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and related industry applications.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the organization’s systems and data as well as client data.

Physical Requirements

  • Ordinary ambulatory skills; ability to stand or sit, bend or stoop, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light weights of up to 20 pounds.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment, and read.
  • Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent typing.
  • Limited business travel, including operation of a motor vehicle.
