The Role
The consultant will provide technical support to develop a financing strategy for the Water Sector Investment Program (WIP) in Burundi.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive financing strategy for the WIP
- Mobilize resources and coordinate stakeholder engagement
- Ensure alignment with AU strategic priorities and climate finance mechanisms
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing financing strategies for water sector investment programs
- Knowledge of climate finance mechanisms and the Green Climate Fund
- Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in Burundi
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
