About the role
We are looking for an International Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Team. This position reports to the Global Controller and is a key contributor to the monthly close process and operational administration with focus on non-US accounting operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting functions across several jurisdictions, including monthly close, review of/record global subsidiary financial reports, preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and fluxes.
- Cook up with foreign entities' accountants for monthly financial reporting and operational activities.
- Lead month-end close activities related to intercompany transactions and balances, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Manage intercompany agreements, billing, settlements, and related documentation.
- Mind the compliance with intercompany transfer pricing policies and procedures.
- Cook up internal and external audit and tax requests including preparation of supporting reports and documentation.
- Aid with compliance of local and international accounting regulations, including various filings, reporting requirements, and statutory deadlines.
- Identify and drive system and process improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, and other internal stakeholders to align on intercompany matters.
- Own Lease accounting globally and monitor new accounting pronouncements for global compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance (or related degree).
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent experience preferred).
- Experience using Netsuite is required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize/balance multiple tasks in order to meet team goals and deadlines.
- Background in group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
- Proven experience in a large multinational organization with complex intercompany operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Foreign Language familiarity with French and/or Spanish a plus.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000 per year.
