Internal Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

This role is for an Internal Medicine physician providing outpatient primary care services in a correctional facility. Key Responsibilities Include Conducting patient evaluations and managing both acute and chronic conditions for adult patients.Seeing approximately 15-20 patients daily during day shifts.Collaborating with nurse practitioners and nursing staff to ensure quality care.Providing prescriptive authority to manage medications and treatment plans.Serving on a 2nd call rotation, covering all facility locations once every 2 months, including emergency and after-hours coverage. Qualifications And Skills Required Board certification in internal medicine.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Experience managing adult outpatient medical conditions.Strong communication and clinical assessment skills. This position involves working on-site in a correctional environment, with responsibilities centered on delivering comprehensive primary care to an adult incarcerated population, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and providing quality patient management.
