About the role
Internal Medicine physician in a clinic setting, providing inpatient medical services in a substance use treatment facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Oversee medical care for adult patients with an average stay of 7 to 11 days
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, APPs, behavioral health, and addiction specialists
- Maintain accurate documentation and support comprehensive patient care
- Provide prescriptive authority within the scope of practice
Requirements
- Medical license with prescriptive authority
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience managing adult inpatient cases preferred
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site. Caseload of 10-20 patients per day.
