Internal Medicine Physician

About the role

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice with over 15 years of national experience. They are seeking an internal medicine physician with rehab experience to join their team in Cookeville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to IRF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post-stroke care, and chronic pain conditions
• Accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Available onsite, Monday-Friday, to see patients

Requirements

• MD/DO License in the state of Tennessee
• A minimum of 1 year of rehab experience
• Active DEA License

Preferred qualifications

• Inpatient Rehab Facility or post-acute care experience
• Background in Internal Medicine or geriatric medicine

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements
