Position Overview
Arc Health is seeking a Temporary Primary Care Physician to deliver high-quality, integrated care in Central Oregon. This role combines primary care and addiction medicine, with a strong focus on treating opioid use disorder and collaborating closely with behavioral health services. The provider will play a key leadership role in supporting clinical staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a consistent patient experience across sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary care and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment, including OTP services (e.g., methadone dosing)
- Deliver acute care and addiction-related services, including psychiatric and substance use disorder support as needed
- Oversee clinical operations for the primary care clinic and OTP program
- Collaborate with behavioral health and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to NPs, PAs, and nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, tribal, CARF, and AAAHC standards
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Support care coordination and continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development
- Assist with incident reviews, peer reviews, and patient care oversight
Qualifications
- MD or DO with active Oregon license
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
- Experience in Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) preferred
- Familiarity with CARF accreditation standards
- Background in primary care and addiction medicine
- Psychiatry experience preferred
- Ability to supervise clinical staff and support team development
- Current DEA, BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver's license
Work Environment & Additional Details
- Clinic-based setting with occasional exposure to infectious diseases and clinical hazards
- May require local or occasional travel
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Position is subject to Tribal Child Protection Ordinance requirements
