What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care, including the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and documentation of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, diagnostic, and imaging results as clinically appropriate.
- Manage patients with complex and chronic medical conditions, promote preventive care, support patient self-management goals, and coordinate care to optimize health outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care; participate in case reviews; and provide clinical guidance and mentorship to students, residents, and other healthcare professionals, as appropriate.
- Participate in continuing medical education, quality improvement initiatives, population health activities, and patient-centered medical home (PCMH) efforts to enhance clinical outcomes and organizational performance.
Required
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
- BLS Certificate from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Full licensure to practice medicine by the NC Board of Medical Examiners, with valid license.
Preferred
- Experience with underserved or rural populations.
- Familiarity with team-based care or PCMH/PCHH models.
