About the role

Richmond Hospital (Vancouver Coastal Health) is seeking a full‑time General Internal Medicine physician to provide services to a geriatric population on a dedicated Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) unit, working in a team‑based model with Geriatrics and Geri Psychiatry support. The successful applicant will become a member of the Department of Internal Medicine and will participate in a call rota. Richmond is one of Canada’s fastest‑aging communities, bordering Vancouver and offering top‑rated schools plus convenient access to recreational, leisure, arts, and cultural amenities of the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities

• Provide general internal medicine care to geriatric patients on the ACE unit.
• Collaborate with Geriatrics and Geri Psychiatry team members.
• Participate in the departmental call rota.
• Contribute as a member of the Department of Internal Medicine.

Requirements

• Proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination (or single dose of the most‑recent updated vaccine) as per VCH Public Health Orders effective October 5, 2023.

Qualifications

• Current license with the College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC).
• Full Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) eligibility.
• Mandatory membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
