About the role

We are seeking a Respirologist to provide a mix of inpatient hospital consultations, Level 3 pulmonary function testing (PFT) diagnostics, and office-based practice. The position is located in White Rock, British Columbia, a sunny seaside community with a growing population and all amenities. Peace Arch Hospital, a community hospital in the Fraser Health region, offers a bronchoscopy suite (no EBUS), a Level 3 pulmonary function lab, 169 acute care beds, 8 ICU/CCU beds (closed unit cared by internal medicine), free parking for staff and patients (less than a 10‑minute drive door‑to‑door), and access to thoracic surgery at Surrey Memorial Hospital (5 busy thoracic surgeons) and the BC Cancer Agency/Fraser Valley Cancer Centre adjacent to Surrey Memorial.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory consultation to the hospital for in‑ and outpatients.
• No official on‑call requirement and no general internal medicine call.
• Take consults from hospitalists and internists (approximately 1‑5 per week) for inpatients during weekdays 9 am‑5 pm, excluding holidays.
• Handle outpatient referrals from the emergency department and community.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Respirology with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
• Eligible for an independent licence from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Canadian permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

Schedule
