About the role
As an Internal IT Engineer, you will be responsible for user account and equipment provisioning as well as assisting employees with resolving their IT-related issues.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST, onsite at our headquarters office in Melville, NY.
Pay
$60,000–$70,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provision and de-provision user accounts for employee on/offboarding.
- Asset management and allocation including but not limited to laptops, monitors, docking stations, webcams, and headsets.
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment.
- Organize and schedule diagnostic testing around employee availability to minimize impact.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.).
- Maintain records of support interactions and time spent in ConnectWise (communication, diagnostics tests/results).
- Identify and document computer or network equipment warranty issues and communicate them internally.
- Act as a liaison between vendors and employees for open vendor support requests.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of technical support experience (preferred).
- Experience working with Azure (a plus).
- Experience working with Office 365 (preferred).
- Experience working with SonicWall devices (preferred).
- Experience working with HP devices (preferred).
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications will be required within one year of hire.
- Microsoft, Apple, SonicWall, Cisco, and other IT vendor certifications are desirable.
