About the Opportunity

The Internal Events Specialist I is responsible for coordinating and executing high-quality employee events across a global, remote-first workforce. This role oversees the operational and logistical aspects of internal events, ensuring seamless execution from planning through completion. By delivering engaging employee experiences, the position plays a key role in strengthening company culture, collaboration, and employee connection.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal event logistics and support stakeholders throughout the planning process
  • Coordinate event logistics, including travel, accommodations, catering, venue sourcing, transportation, shipping, registration, and on-site execution
  • Support recurring employee gatherings, leadership meetings, and other internal events using established processes
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and tracking deliverables
  • Utilize event management and project management tools to improve operational efficiency and stakeholder experience
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Workplace, Finance, Procurement, and People Operations, to coordinate event logistics and approvals
  • Track event expenses, reconcile invoices, and assist with budget reporting
  • Collect stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide occasional on-site event support and travel as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event coordination or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing new technologies and event/project management platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and self-directed work style
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred

Pay

$80,000–$100,000 USD annually (California, Washington, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut)
$71,000–$91,000 USD annually (all other U.S. states)
Total compensation may include equity awards, monthly health, wellness, and technology stipends.
