About the role

E‑Space is building a highly‑advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system to enable hyper‑scaled IoT solutions and make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable. As the company scales over the next 18 months, this builder role will own the internal communications infrastructure and culture programs that keep the organization informed, aligned, and feeling connected as it grows. The role operates as a shared service between the Head of People and executive leadership, requiring onsite work in Arlington, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own E‑Space's internal communications operating model: channels, cadences, content types, and editorial calendar governing information flow as the company scales.
  • Own strategy and execution of key company moments: All Hands meetings, quarterly business reviews, org announcements, exec updates, and crisis communications.
  • Build and maintain an internal intranet/knowledge hub (using Rippling, Teams, SharePoint or dedicated platforms) as the single source of truth for company information, policies, and culture.
  • Create repeatable playbooks and templates for recurring programs (All Hands, org changes, exec announcements) that scale without manual lift each cycle.
  • Partner with exec leadership to turn strategy and initiatives into clear, compelling stories for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Design and execute culture, belonging and retention programs: team celebrations, recognition initiatives, cross‑functional gatherings, and rituals that make E‑Space feel like a culture.
  • Own employer brand on external sites, published information and careers pages, highlighting E‑Space's culture and showcasing what it's like to work there, especially as the company grows internationally.
  • Lead change communications for key initiatives (reorganizations, new policies, leadership transitions), helping employees navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (People, Workplace, Legal, Finance) to ensure communications are consistent with company values and aligned with business moments.
  • Own trade‑offs and priority management: create a cadence of what gets done, when, and communicate those calls clearly to stakeholders; establish scope and expectations; navigate incomplete information and make editorial/strategic calls without waiting for perfect clarity.
  • Build cross‑functional alignment without formal authority, using influencing skills to surface conflicts early and find paths forward.
  • Scale yourself: identify high‑leverage activities vs. low‑leverage busy work and architect what stays with you versus what can be delegated as the role grows.
  • Work closely with the CEO and exec team to develop messaging frameworks for key announcements, fundraises, product milestones, and business pivots; provide editorial feedback on executive communications (emails, Teams updates, presentations) and produce high‑impact content such as exec talking points, All‑Hands presentations, recorded messages, and email campaigns.
