Internal Audit Senior Associate, Operations & Compliance

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based operational and compliance audits from planning to reporting
• Manage audit requests, tracking open items and providing updates to leadership
• Identify control gaps through root cause analysis and recommend improvements
• Lead the drafting of audit reports that are concise and actionable for stakeholders
• Validate remediation steps for prior audit findings and ensure closure sufficiency
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure audit independence and objectivity

Qualifications

• 5+ years in internal/external audit or compliance testing within financial services or fintech
• Ability to execute audits from planning to reporting with high-quality documentation
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks like AML and consumer protection
• Skilled in managing multiple audit projects and priorities effectively
• Familiarity with SQL and data analytics tools for enhancing audit efficiency
• Proficient in utilizing generative AI responsibly within audit processes
• Understanding of internal control environments and financial regulations
• Relevant professional certification or progress toward one

Pay

$121,410 – $127,800 annually
