About the role
This Internal Account Manager / Inside Sales role sits between order processing and chaotic firefighting. You’ll act as the link between customers, external sales, and supply chain, owning the process from enquiry through to delivery. The role is genuinely commercial—you’ll ensure smooth operations, resolve issues quickly, and seize opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day contact for key customers—handling queries, updates, and problem-solving
- Manage orders end-to-end, from quote through to delivery
- Work closely with external sales and supply chain to keep everything on track
- Proactively update customers rather than waiting for them to chase
- Handle pricing, delivery schedules, and stock-related decisions
- Resolve invoice queries and general discrepancies
Requirements
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Prior internal sales or similar experience
- Comfortable building customer relationships and handling day-to-day interactions
- Confident working with numbers, pricing, and margins
- Proactive problem-solver—willing to dig in and resolve issues
- Strong communication across teams (sales, operations, suppliers)
