Intern - Year Round (HR Shared Service Center)

This position supports the HR Shared Services Center (SSC) team, which serves as the first point of contact for all Human Resource needs. The HR SSC team provides service and guidance to all Navy Federal team members. A requirement of this position is you must be currently enrolled in college level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of HR services and answer or appropriately route employee inquiries pertaining to basic HR programs, processes, procedures, and communications
• Analyze and interpret basic issues; select methods, processes, or tools to meet needs, and coordinate solutions efficiently and accurately
• Provide support with completing personnel actions in a deadline-driven environment
• Assist with answering customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Run audits as needed, research and address findings
• Assist with completing ad-hoc requests as necessary
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, placing employee services and confidentiality as priority
• Provide comprehensive day-to-day operational support
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree or certifications in Human Resources
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
• Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Customer service focus and relationship management skills
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Team player with high learning agility and a growth mindset
• Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
• Ability to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisions
• Ability to adapt to new technologies

Desired Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certifications in Human Resources
• Experience working with HR tools such as Oracle HCM
• Experience working with ServiceNow

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
