Intern, Value and Risk Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Intern to join our Valuation & Advisory Services platform. Our team is part of a global network of experienced, licensed, qualified appraisers who deliver accurate, reliable, and prompt valuations using local insights and years of expertise. We provide sound advice across property sizes, project complexities, and industries, offering expertise in financing, due diligence, risk analysis, balance sheet reporting, dispute resolutions, and IPO listings.

This position is open to students currently enrolled in a local university, able to work part-time during the academic year and over winter/summer break for approximately 20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Extensive database research and analysis in support of professionals on the team
• Conducting telephone interviews with appraisal experts in the commercial real estate market
• Assist appraisers with drafting sections of seniors housing and skilled nursing appraisal reports, including narrative sections such as neighborhood descriptions, site and improvements analysis, and market and demand overviews
• Data entry and clerical support

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a local four-year university
• Ability to work 30 hours per week during the academic year
• Outstanding academic achievement (overall GPA should be included on resume; transcript may be requested)
• Major in finance, real estate, accounting, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related field
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial real estate
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated, diligent, with outstanding communication skills
