Intern (Transportation Bridge - Summer 2027)

About the role

Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is seeking an Intern to join our Transportation-Bridge practice area in our Syracuse, NY office for the summer of 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of traffic studies and analyses
• Contribute to the development of bridge design plans and specifications
• Support project team meetings and presentations
• Research and gather data relevant to transportation projects
• Prepare reports and documentation as required

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
• Strong academic performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for transportation engineering and bridge design

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Experience with GIS software is a plus
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Pay

Estimated Pay Range: $21-23/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Schedule

The internship will be full-time during the summer of 2027, typically from May to August.
