Job Summary

Develop, design, analyze, and evaluate transmission facility additions/modifications by applying engineering theories, principles, and practices that contribute to safe, reliable, and cost‑effective transmission line designs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed design for high‑voltage transmission line projects, including building new lines, re‑building and modifying existing facilities, fiber installations, and customer relocations.
  • Provide field support for construction activities related to transmission line projects, including construction site visits and project meetings.
  • Interface with other departments or groups such as Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, Permitting, Real Estate, Right of Way Administration, and Transmission O&M.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Self‑motivator who can work cooperatively in a team environment and independently seek knowledge and information.
  • Strong time‑management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program that is ABET‑accredited, majoring in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Graduation date of Fall 2028 or 2029.

Pay

The anticipated hourly rate is $23.00 – $29.00, varying based on degree type, academic major, and school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
