About the role
The 12-month internship program at SEYF is designed to offer a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for emerging clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy services with cultural humility and responsiveness
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation
- Conduct assessments, case conceptualization, and interventions
- Participate in outreach and advocacy efforts
- Develop knowledge of community resources
- Uphold ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA compliance
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with youth and families from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
- Gain valuable exposure to real-world challenges and the tools to address them effectively and compassionately
- Strength in clinical evaluation, risk assessment, case conceptualization, critical thinking, and clinical documentation
- Emphasis on work-life balance, professional boundaries, and long-term sustainability in the mental health field
- Engage with curiosity, humility, and a commitment to continuous learning
