Intern Therapist Position (12-Month Program)

About the role

The 12-month internship program at SEYF is designed to offer a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for emerging clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy services with cultural humility and responsiveness
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation
• Conduct assessments, case conceptualization, and interventions
• Participate in outreach and advocacy efforts
• Develop knowledge of community resources
• Uphold ethical and legal standards, including HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with youth and families from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds
• Gain valuable exposure to real-world challenges and the tools to address them effectively and compassionately
• Strength in clinical evaluation, risk assessment, case conceptualization, critical thinking, and clinical documentation
• Emphasis on work-life balance, professional boundaries, and long-term sustainability in the mental health field

Pay
