About the Role
Safety and Health supports business units across the company, providing safety support for electric and gas operations at We Energies and Wisconsin Public Services. The team drives risk reduction through audits, observations, data review, sample collection, and communication support (e.g., Safety Bulletins, Safety Alerts, and monthly or ad-hoc safety topics).
Responsibilities
- Conduct industrial hygiene exposure monitoring for various physical, biological, and chemical agents to determine employee exposures.
- Audit safety and health performance through observation and inquiry.
- Identify improvement opportunities and inform facility management of issues and solutions.
- Act as a professional resource for all levels of employees while providing support services on safety and health.
- Deliver safety and health training programs and materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures, policies, and programs relating to safety and health.
- Assist Safety and Health Consultants with program development and implementation.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with facility employees and department leaders.
What You Will Learn

Requirements
- High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Public Health, or a closely related field, with a graduation date after July 2027.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this internship is $21.30 to $24.60, with a starting rate of $21.30. Paid company holidays are included.
