Intern - Ridgeland, MS

Summary This position is with Smith Shellnut & Wilson. The intern who serves in this role will gain hands on experience in an area of interest (including but not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Credit Administration, Risk Management, etc.) of the bank. Current MBA student specializing in Finance or Accounting. Undergraduate student majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Overall GPA of 2.9 or greater required. Specific Job Functions Some duties may include: Preparation of balance sheet and expense account analysis. Recording general ledger transactionsPreparation of monthly bank reconciliationsCompile management reportsFinancial analysis for internal reporting and planning.Compiling loan packagesSpreading financial statements utilizing our spreading program. Inputting data and compiling reportsProvides clerical support for all three areas including scanning, copying, filing etc…Assisting with special projects that are relevant to the course of study.
