About the role
The Partnership Tax Intern will prepare partnership tax compliance deliverables including federal partnership income tax returns (Forms 1065), quarterly 704(b) estimates for HLBV, and capital/K-1 estimates. The intern will work a hybrid schedule from our Houston, TX offices.
Responsibilities
- Support the Partnership Tax team in topics such as fixed assets, general ledger review, renewable credit analysis, tax research pertaining to Subchapter K, and assist in preparation of tax filings.
Requirements
- At least a junior or senior (by end of fall 2026 semester) working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance, with a focus on taxation.
- Desire to obtain your CPA and understanding of basic accounting principles: journal entries, debits/credits, and general understanding of taxes.
- Working experience in EXCEL and outstanding analytical skills.

- Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based workpapers.

Benefits
This internship is for the Fall semester from August 21, 2026 to December 31, 2026. It sits in the Houston office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days working in the office. Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester and must attend a worksite on a weekly basis.
Pay
Hourly Range: $23.50 USD
