About the role

Full-time internship opportunity in product management and business development at the BMW Group Technology Office in Mountain View, California. Work with internal and external stakeholders to create new product and business opportunities for the BMW Group with external partners. Support the team in maintaining close working relationships with Silicon Valley technology companies and other partners to achieve mutual business objectives. Collaborate with marketing, engineering, sales, and UX/design teams at both BMW Headquarters and U.S. entities to devise innovative business models and new products. Assist in the preparation, facilitation, and execution of the BMW Group Tech Office Tour during CES.

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional teams to create new product and business opportunities.
  • Maintain working relationships with Silicon Valley technology companies and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, sales, and UX/design teams on innovative business models and products.
  • Assist in the preparation, facilitation, and execution of the BMW Group Tech Office Tour during CES.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • U.S. work authorization required.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
  • Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week).
  • Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

Qualifications

  • Field of study: Business Administration, Economics, Business IT/Engineering, Marketing, or Data and Business Analytics.
  • Business fluent English or German.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.
  • Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.

Pay

Undergraduate students: $32.50 per hour. Graduate students: $40.00 per hour. The selected student's current academic level will determine the final pay rate.

Schedule

Full-time (36.25 hours/week), hybrid role requiring in-office days. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
