Role Purpose

The intern will support problem solving and expanding understanding in an innovative glass manufacturing process. The intern will learn about and support various manufacturing processes and support engineering teams in conducting experiments and analyze test results. Part of this assignment will require travel to Canton, NY.

Key Responsibilities

  • Author, supervise and analyzing experimental plans
  • Direct communication with manufacturing, engineering, and research teams
  • Communicate project status and updates to both the project team and to management, including memos, technical reports, and verbal presentations

Experiences/Education – Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering (preference for Materials Science & Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Glass Science & Engineering, or Chemical Engineering) (Minimum of 2+ years working towards the degree)
  • Preference is for students who will have completed their 3rd year of a BS level college engineering program prior to starting the internship and will be graduating within 12 months of finishing the internship

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $1,635.00 – $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
