Intern – Network Engineering

About the role

This is a Summer 2027 internship for a self‑motivated Intern – Network Engineering, based in Pittsburgh, PA. The internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027 and is open to eligible engineering students.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of design, configuration, and test activities.
• Maintain an open action‑items list and produce effective reporting.
• Configure Cisco equipment (switches, routers, radios).
• Configure networks and fiber‑optic cabling systems.
• Optimize and test radio, network, and fiber components.

Requirements

• Knowledge of networking and/or radio technologies.
• Broad knowledge of switching and routing protocols.
• Broad knowledge of wireless communications.
• Ability to use test equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information.
• Strong relevant technical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
• Current engineering student at a 4‑year university, graduating between December 2027 and December 2028.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
