Intern - National Golf Operations

About the role

The rate of pay is $12/hr + variable income from commission, lessons, etc. We are looking for candidates who are pursuing a PGA Golf Management or Sports Management degree.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to different facets of a multi-course operation
• Assigned to a “home” course
• Exposure to all aspects of golf operation, including maintenance, retail, group golf, tournament director, food & beverage, accounting, human resources, and Kingdom of Golf
• Attendance at 1 or 2 seminars covering career advancement, leadership, management responsibilities, outside operations, tournament/corporate event facilitation, par stock level reporting, visual merchandising, junior clinics, opening & closing procedures, maintaining log books, rental club procedures, and tournament/corporate event facilitation
• Completion of work experiences through goal setting, study groups, and individual meetings with Head Professional
• Monthly review of goals with Head Professional
• Participation in study groups with Assistant Professionals

Qualifications

Candidates must be pursuing a PGA Golf Management or Sports Management degree.
