About the role

REV Ambulance Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to work in our Winter Park, FL location. The position is limited to no more than 29 hours per week, with work hours varying between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange mechanical details and prepare initial design layouts.
  • Follow up and assist in the preparation of final layout and working drawings.
  • Create commercially practical, technically sufficient, and economically sound designs for assigned products or units based on predetermined mechanical characteristics.
  • Address performance requirements, weight and dimensional limits, and determine the nature and working relationship of various design elements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or holding a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with Pro/Engineer, Creo, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and work with arms above head.
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Environment

  • Primarily an indoor office environment.
  • Occasionally required to work on the plant floor.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Safety glasses or prescription safety glasses with side shields.
  • Ear plugs.
  • Closed-toed shoes.
