Your career awaits. Nelnet Financial Services (NFS) is seeking an intern to join the NFS Investments Team, with a focus on structured finance, specialty finance investments, and asset management. The hire will assist with a wide range of tasks related to the investment process including risk assessment, underwriting and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide investment analysis assistance across various specialty finance asset classes including consumer, auto, small business, home improvement and other loan types
• Collaborate internally with employees and departments to accomplish work projects
• Maintain and update comparable deal tracker
• Complete special projects as assigned by management
• Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines
• Perform industry research and draft research reports

Education

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field

Experience

• Relevant coursework in finance, accounting and business
• Prior internship in finance or accounting preferred

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Good oral and written communication
• Ability to follow directions
• Willingness to learn new processes
• Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures
