Intern, Investigation Diligence & Compliance (Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Support the overall investigations and research process at Kroll.
• Conduct increasingly complex research (in English and/or Spanish) using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources and the Internet.
• Perform detailed reviews of subjects’ digital footprints with a focus on social media content using OSINT techniques.
• Conduct social media analysis within an agreed risk framework.
• Analyze and synthesize relevant research findings.
• Write well-structured, concise, and objective reports to provide Kroll’s clients with an accurate assessment of the findings.

Requirements

• Availability to work roughly 15-20 hours per week remotely, with opportunities to work in-person from a local Kroll office depending on location.
• Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited US college or university.
• Major GPA of at least 3.7.
• Native or equivalent English language proficiency.
• Expected to graduate date of May 2027 – May 2029.
• Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
• Understanding and acceptance of constructive feedback.
• Availability during fall semester (through December 2026, with the potential for an extension for the Spring 2027 semester).

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Spanish is highly desired, but not required.
• Interest and understanding of current events, international affairs, culture (pop and high) with consideration for the social media commentary and movements that emerge in response.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
• Familiarity with emerging social media platforms and mechanisms.
• Experience with any type of risk assessment.
