Responsibilities
- Support the overall investigations and research process at Kroll.
- Conduct increasingly complex research (in English and/or Spanish) using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources and the Internet.
- Perform detailed reviews of subjects’ digital footprints with a focus on social media content using OSINT techniques.
- Conduct social media analysis within an agreed risk framework.
- Analyze and synthesize relevant research findings.
- Write well-structured, concise, and objective reports to provide Kroll’s clients with an accurate assessment of the findings.
Requirements
- Availability to work roughly 15-20 hours per week remotely, with opportunities to work in-person from a local Kroll office depending on location.
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited US college or university.
- Major GPA of at least 3.7.
- Native or equivalent English language proficiency.
- Expected to graduate date of May 2027 – May 2029.
- Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- Understanding and acceptance of constructive feedback.
- Availability during fall semester (through December 2026, with the potential for an extension for the Spring 2027 semester).
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Spanish is highly desired, but not required.
- Interest and understanding of current events, international affairs, culture (pop and high) with consideration for the social media commentary and movements that emerge in response.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
- Familiarity with emerging social media platforms and mechanisms.
- Experience with any type of risk assessment.
