Applied Composites (AC) is seeking an Intern, Engineering. This is a student, or a recent graduate undergoing on-the-job supervised training in preparation of a desired career. Job Accountabilities: Provides engineering support for manufacturing, testing, and design engineering groups Assists with various projects using engineering software (CREO 4, FEMAP, Nastran, Etc.) generating solid models, drawings and finite element analysis results Hands-on fabrication of aerospace hardware using machining equipment, tools, tooling and assembly fixtures Working with test group planning, conducting, documenting and reporting of testing results Using Microsoft Office software to generate Work Instruction documents and engineering related presentations Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required: preferred 20 hours per week during quarter/semester, fulltime during summer Job Specifications: Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma/GED and at least two years schooling pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical or structural engineering Years’ Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations Skills: Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations Experience or background with composite materials is a plus Experience with CREO, CATIA or similar solid modeling software Experience with FEMAP, NASTRAN or other similar finite element analysis software Understanding of structural mechanics and performing hand calculations for structural analysis verification Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite AC is an Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled - Affirmative Action Employer.
