Intern - Financial and Regulatory Planning

Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Assist in preparation and communication of the Company’s monthly and long-range financial forecasts
- Assist in preparation and review of key metrics, rate case filings, and various one-off requests
- Maintain and enhance the UI Forecasting model
- Modify existing reports and calculations as needed to reflect changes in requirements and/or assumptions
- Communicate forecast results to key stakeholders including senior leadership
- Work with departments across the company to ensure accuracy of data and validity of information
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives
- Apply knowledge of interrelationships in processes and utilize problem-solving skills to recommend process improvements
- Rate Case Support
- Assist in preparation, communication, and tracking of rate case schedule with cross-departmental team
- Assist Business Unit finance in rate case schedule, testimony, and data request preparation
- Prepare responses to rate case data requests
- Track and model proposed adjustments from Commission Staff and Rate Case Intervenors
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or closely related discipline with a graduation date after June 2027
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2027.
Pay
The hourly rate for this internship is $21.30, with paid company holidays. The pay range for this position is $21.30 to $24.60 per hour, with the starting salary based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs.
