Intern - Finance Project Management
About the Role
Labcorp is seeking a Project Management Intern to join our Finance Team located in Burlington, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
Schedule
Monday–Friday / 8:00 AM–5:00 PM / 40 hours per week
Internship duration: 11 weeks, full-time
Internship dates: June 1, 2027–August 13, 2027
Responsibilities
- Support an internal process improvement project focused on improving efficiency and existing workflows.
- Assist with project planning, organization, and coordination activities.
- Review existing processes and workflows to identify potential opportunities for improvement.
- Support documentation of project activities, processes, and findings.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support project objectives.
- Assist with preparing project materials and communicating project updates and findings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Working towards a degree in Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
Additional Job Standards
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to organize and support project-related activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment.
About the Team
The Finance Team supports initiatives focused on improving internal processes, workflows, and operational efficiency. As a member of the team, the intern will gain hands-on experience supporting an internal process improvement project while learning how project management principles and practices are applied within a global healthcare organization. The intern will have the opportunity to work with team members and stakeholders to evaluate existing workflows, support project activities, and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.

Internship Details
- Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
- Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (December 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
