Responsibilities

• Transport families or customers to visits, appointments or meetings
• Supervise family visits and provide parental coaching on appropriate child interactions
• Conduct home safety checks with foster and kinship providers and clients
• Possible testimony at a court proceeding
• Provide support to Family Services Specialists
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships
• Shadow Family Services Specialists
• Obtain and maintain information resources for clients
• Organize, prepare and update case files and basic records
• Prepare other program documents and forms

Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
• All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions

Pay

$20.82 per hour
