Intern - Energy Analytics
Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Energy Analytics Intern in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2027 with the potential to work part-time during the academic year.

About the Role
Power Operations is responsible for day-ahead and real-time electric trading operations for WEC’s utility and non-utility projects in wholesale electric markets. The group works to optimize electric load forecasting, generation cost and availability, environmental testing, and load management programs to mitigate risk and promote favorable financial outcomes while reliably serving load.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and support improvements to energy offer strategies for power generation sales into wholesale electric markets
- Learn about market integration of new battery projects
- Analyze Power Purchase Agreements and Renewable Energy Credit transactions for wind and solar projects
- Review cost parameters for electric generators to improve operating cost forecasting
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or other related majors with a graduation date after July 2027
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
- Valid Driver's License

Pay
The hourly pay range for this internship is $23.10 to $27.55. The starting salary within the range will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and other factors.
Schedule
Full-time during the Summer of 2027 with the potential to work part-time during the academic year. Paid company holidays are included.
