Intern - Database Administrator

Role Overview Seeking an AWS PostgreSQL Database Administrator intern to support database management, cloud infrastructure, and automation within the Enterprise Infrastructure team. The position involves assisting with administration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS Aurora and on-premises PostgreSQL databases, as well as performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization activities. Key responsibilities include provisioning, backup, recovery, patching, and upgrades, along with developing automation scripts and supporting Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform. The intern will troubleshoot database issues and implement monitoring and alerting best practices. Qualifications & Skills Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, IT, or related fieldKnowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database conceptsFamiliarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructureExperience with or understanding of Infrastructure as Code toolsPreferred: rising junior or senior expected to graduate between Dec 2027 and June 2029 This is a paid internship with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
