ONE Gas is a premier natural gas distribution company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We provide natural gas distribution services to approximately 2.3 million customers in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Our internship program is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experience for professional growth and development.

About the role

We’re seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Corporate Communications team for Summer 2027. This hybrid internship offers a dynamic blend of in-office and remote work, giving interns exposure to real-world communications functions, processes, and corporate operations. Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help with communications tasks including writing and editing materials for internal and external audiences, media relations, web and social media content, and assist with storytelling efforts in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
• Work with subject matter experts and team leaders to develop communications and digital content.
• Plan, research and develop content for company publications for external and/or internal audiences.
• Help in the development of communications materials that support corporate strategies and maintain good working relationships with various stakeholder groups.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Communication, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising, preferably graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, self-motivated, with personal initiative, and demonstrated design and writing experience.
• Maintain a GPA of 2.9 or higher.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles.
• Experience through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work.

Pay

All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.

Schedule

• Projected Internship Dates: Tuesday, June 1st, 2027 – Friday, August 5th, 2027.
• Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week.
