About the role

Join the Ahold Delhaize USA Communications team for a hands-on, paid summer internship experience. Ahold Delhaize USA is the parent company of leading grocery retail brands—Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop—together making up the largest grocery retail group on the East Coast. The Communications team drives internal and external communications, media relations, crisis support, social media, and community relations for Ahold Delhaize USA and its partner brands. Interns will collaborate across departments, curate content, produce written, audio, and video stories, and contribute creative ideas to support associates and tell the company’s story.

Responsibilities

• Support internal communications including daily updates, feature stories, and strategic project communications
• Assist with external communications, media relations, crisis communication, and social media
• Participate in community relations initiatives
• Find and curate content and bring new, creative ideas to storytelling across formats
• Work on multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Qualifications

• Working toward a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media or a related field
• Experience working in a collaborative group setting
• Experience using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including newswriting experience and strong AP Style knowledge
• Ability to multi-task and work on several initiatives at once
• Detail oriented and energetic self-starter

Pay

• IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $20.00 – $37.80
• ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $18.10 – $34.20

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days a week in the office.
